A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL The history of the school goes back to July 2000, as it was the commendable work of Norbertine Fathers and the staff, which is worth to be appreciated. The seed of St. Augustine School was sown in the mind of Fathers to serve the people through Education. The founder of our School Rev. Fr. Benjamin Francis O. Praem had a vision and with his vision he moved ahead to reach out his dream.
We have completed 24 years of our school and we look back we feel that, even though we were caught up with tension and worries but still with our incessant efforts we progressed towards our vision to bring out fruitful results. The uniqueness of children to be nurtured well, to develop their talents with this motive we all teachers and principals as a team worked together to bring quality in education. Inspite of majority students coming entirely from sub-urban set up, we fulfilled to instil good values in students through education for which we all are privileged and proud of.
The Primary School Building was inaugurated on 1" July 2000, with its first Principal Rev. Fr. Gilbert Paul O. Praem along with four staff members, one office staff and 65 students. The building was graced with blessings and prayers by Most Rev. Bishop Theophane O. Praem, Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Francis O. Praem, Rev. Fr. Joe Louis O. Praem and Rev. Fr. Sabu Thomas O. Praem. The building was designed by Mr. Cyril Anthony who was architect and contractor. The school is a great blessing of God and joy to the people of this locality.
